What makes a location investment-ready?
For investors, location is more than geography.
It is the combination of infrastructure, resource access, connectivity and the potential to support new industries.
KEK Palu illustrates how these fundamentals can come together.
With a 1,500-hectare industrial zone and access to strategic resources including nickel, Palu is developing opportunities further along the value chain.
One example is the proposed development of a BESS Gigafactory, with an initial capacity of 8 GWh per year and potential expansion to 12–15 GWh, alongside an LNG Hub.
The opportunity has also attracted international interest. Aslan Energy Capital and PT Bangun Palu Sulawesi Tengah have signed an MoU targeting up to US$1.75 billion in investment for the development.
From resources to infrastructure, and from industrial capacity to new energy opportunities — location fundamentals can help shape where the next investment opportunities emerge.
