As a form of transparency and performance accountability, the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry presented the investment realization progress for the January–September 2025 period. The realization during this period reached USD 89.6 billion, or 75.3% of the 2025 target of USD 119.1 billion. This achievement grew by 13.7% compared to the same period last year and successfully absorbed 1,956,346 Indonesian workers mainly employed outside Java (51.7%) in the metal industry (13.7%) and logistics (11.4%) sectors. Additionally, from January to September 2025, the contribution of Domestic Direct Investment (DDI) accounting for 55.1%, was higher than Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

This positive result reflects the growing investor confidence in the national economy, in line with the success of the industrial downstream policy, more equitable investment distribution outside Java, and the strengthening of priority sectors such as the basic metal industry. This performance also demonstrates the solid fundamentals of Indonesia’s economy amid global uncertainties, while reinforcing the government’s commitment to creating a conducive, inclusive, and sustainable investment climate.
