Indonesia’s Minister of Investment / Chairman of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) @bahlillahadalia has released investment realization data for the first quarter (January-March) of 2024.
Despite the global economic uncertainty, the achievement of investment realization in the first quarter of 2024 was IDR 401.5 trillion, an increase of 22.1% compared to the previous year. In addition to that, the realization of investment in this period succeeded in creating jobs for 547,419 Indonesian workers.
In line with the policy of “downstreaming” natural resources and minerals in the strategic sector, the investment realization figure for the downstream program in the first quarter of 2024 reached IDR 75.8 trillion or 18.9% of the total investment realization.
“Downstreaming is an instrument to increase national economic competitiveness,” said Bahlil this morning. “Apart from that, the benefits of this policy can also be enjoyed by Eastern Indonesia where the metal processing industry has become a driving force for regional economic growth.”

Meski di tengah ketidakpastian perekonomian global, pencapaian realisasi investasi pada triwulan I tahun 2024 sebesar Rp401,5 triliun, meningkat 22,1% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Selain itu, realisasi investasi pada periode ini berhasil menciptakan lapangan kerja bagi 547.419 tenaga kerja Indonesia.
Sejalan dengan kebijakan hilirisasi sumber daya alam dan mineral pada sektor strategis, angka realisasi investasi program hilirisasi pada triwulan I tahun 2024 mencapai Rp75,8 triliun atau sebanyak 18,9% dari total realisasi investasi.
“Hilirisasi merupakan instrumen untuk meningkatkan daya saing ekonomi nasional,” ungkap Bahlil. “. Selain itu, manfaat dari kebijakan ini juga dapat dinikmati oleh Indonesia bagian Timur dimana industri pengolahan logam telah menjadi motor penggerak pertumbuhan ekonomi regional.”
