IIPC New York and the Delegations of the Ministry of Investment / BKPM (Deputy Chairman of Investment Planning and Director of Deregulation) had a productive meeting with the Executive Director of the Global Task Desk Network at the Ernst & Young Headquarters in New York on October 12, 2022 as one of the series of benchmarking activities for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) development, especially with respect to the planned development of a financial center.

In the occasion, the meeting discussed the implementation of the international tax framework BEPS Pillar Two and the comparison of several leading financial centers in Asia - such as Singapore, Hong Kong and India - where the stability and reliability of the financial system are the main keys for attracting investors. The establishment of a financial center in IKN is likely to increase Indonesia’s access to the global economy and contribute significantly to national economic growth.
