The Ministry of Investment / BKPM and IIPC New York in collaboration with Indonesian Consulate General in New York (KJRI NY) held a Policy Socialization of the Construction and Development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) at the KJRI NY office on October 12, 2022. This event was one of the benchmarking activities for IKN development by the Deputy Chairman of Investment Planning and Director of Deregulation of the Ministry of Investment / BKPM.
The hybrid event was attended by the Indonesian Embassy in the US, Indonesian General Consulates in the Americas, Indonesian Permanent Mission to the UN, Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in the Americas, as well as the Bank Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, and Bank Rakyat Indonesia Representative Offices in New York.
In the event, the Ministry of Investment / BKPM shared that the development of the Nusantara Capital City is hoped to become an engine for Indonesian economic growth that is run based on a sustainable ecosystem as well as a catalyst for socio-economic equity. The lively discussion also led to talks about furthering investment cooperation in various sectors including tech, renewable energy, and finance.
