The Ministry of Investment/BKPM successfully reached USD 84.1 billion (Rp1,207 trillion) for the realization of investment in the period of January - December 2022 which also absorbed 1.3 million Indonesian workers.
With this achievement, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM managed to exceed the the target stipulated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia which was USD 83.6 billion (Rp 1,200 trillion) in an effort to support national economic growth above 5%. This current accomplishment is considered as the all-time high record in the last 10 years.
In 2022, the Indonesian government had made a road map for Indonesia's strategic investment in 2023-2035 with a focus in downstream industries and investment opportunities reaching USD 545.3 billion (Rp 8,175 trillion). On the other note, the government has also set 8 sectors with 21 commodities to be the key investment priority.
