2023 was a banner year for Indonesia! We hit a whopping 1,418.9 trillion IDR in total investments, creating 1,823,543 jobs. Our diverse sectors flourished: Downstream industry led with minerals at 58% and significant growth in agriculture, forestry, oil, gas, and electric vehicles.
Our global investment appeal was strong with FDI from Singapore ($15.4B), China ($7.4B), Hong Kong ($6.5B), Japan ($4.6B), and Malaysia ($4.1B).
Regionally, Java was a powerhouse with 688.1 trillion IDR, followed by Sumatera (241.9 trillion IDR), Sulawesi (160.3 trillion IDR), Kalimantan (159.9 trillion IDR), and Maluku & Papua (106.8 trillion IDR). Celebrating these milestones, we’re energized to reach even greater heights in 2024!
