President Jokowi was aware the biggest hurdle in getting companies to relocate to #Indonesia was its notorious and time-consuming approval procedure. To overcome this, the country’s #investment board @bkpm_id set up multiple task forces, including one to receive prospective investors at airports and assist them through the entire process.
The agency has just announced seven foreign companies, including Japan’s Denso and Panasonic, South Korea’s LG Electronics and U.S. solar lamps maker Alpan Lighting Products are relocating their plants to Indonesia. And another 17 firms are likely to follow suit not withstanding the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.
